THE POOL is a seafood restaurant located inside one of the most famous dining rooms in America. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Philip Johnson in the 1950’s, this restaurant is a landmarked architectural treasure that presents the bounty of the world's oceans. THE POOL celebrates seafood in several of its forms including raw, cooked, and whole, all prepared with an eye towards simplicity, and a focus on fun. THE POOL is a celebratory experience for all of the senses, incorporating art, architecture, food, and drink. Together with THE GRILL, THE POOL has garnered many accolades, including five out of five stars from Time Out New York,  the title of Best New Restaurant in America 2017 by Esquire and GQ Magazine. A few steps up from the main dining room, a luxurious cocktail bar and lounge called The Pool Lounge serves some of the best cocktails in New York. In 2017, The New York Times named its drinks one of the Best Dishes of the year.
