Testimonials

“Being an intern at Major Food Group has been a very rewarding experience. Spending 10 weeks under the guidance of people who were willing to share their knowledge and help you succeed in the industry is invaluable. I got a greater sense of the different career paths that would be available to me after finishing my education and what it takes to get there. Most importantly, I left MFG excited for what is to come” - Clara Ekholm, Cornell University

“My summer with Major Food Group was easily the most immersive internship experience I have ever had. From weekly field trips visiting wine importers, specialty food suppliers, and luxury partners, to in-depth discussions with leadership, I learned so much about the world of hospitality and the “secret sauce” of what sets Major Food Group apart in the industry. Even as an intern, I felt like I was fully a part of the Marketing team and worked on projects across nearly every concept and in three different markets. As a full-time Marketing Coordinator at MFG now, I am beyond grateful for the foundation that I was able to take away from the program, and I could think of no better place to begin my career.” - Anna Lang, Columbia University

“As an Operations intern with Major Food Group in the summer of 2023, I gained first hand experience in front and back-of-house operations, learning alongside managers, chefs, captains, and sommeliers in their Dallas restaurants. Being part of the MFG team offered an unmatched experience, and I recommend this internship to anyone interested in a food and hospitality career. I am grateful for the skills I acquired, the relationships I built, and the overall experience that Major Food Group provided, further enhancing my love and passion for this dynamic industry” - Helena Ahearn, Southern Methodist University

“My summer internship with Major Food Group’s Development Team was my first exploration of the hospitality world and I could not have asked for a more positive experience.  Intern activities planned by the HR team — from sushi-making to pretzel-baking — were something that I and the other students very much looked forward to every week. The setup of the program allowed me to learn about each of the different components of MFG’s business and to get a closer look at both the weekly operations of individual restaurants and strategic growth of the brand overall. I was able to convert my internship into a part-time in-semester role thanks to the flexibility of my manager and director. Major Food Group was somewhere I had dreamed of working and the reality of my time here has surely exceeded my expectations.” Priyani Karim, Columbia Business School
